Vanilla, Hazelnut, Salted Caramel and French Vanilla are also available sugar-free.
Caffè Latte at Crema House is a double shot of espresso with steamed milk and a thin layer of foam, made to order in our Ottawa caffè. The espresso is Blasercafé Marrone, a Swiss-roasted blend of 70% arabica and 30% robusta, so the coffee still shows through the milk. It is larger and milkier than a Cappuccino and has less foam, with a smooth, rounded texture from properly steamed milk. The plain latte is unsweetened; flavoured versions with pistachio, hazelnut, vanilla, caramel, maple or pumpkin are listed as options. Oat milk or almond milk can replace dairy for an oat milk latte or almond latte. It is the drink to have with a Pistachio Croissant from the Bake House on Clyde Avenue.
Hot Chocolate at Crema House is made with steamed milk and chocolate at our counter in Ottawa. Choose dark chocolate for a deep, bittersweet cup or white chocolate for a sweeter, creamier one, with whipped cream on request. There is no coffee in it, so it suits children and the evening.
Mocha Latte at Crema House is a double shot of Blasercafé Marrone espresso with chocolate sauce and steamed milk, topped with whipped cream, made to order in Ottawa. It is coffee and chocolate in one cup: sweeter than a Caffè Latte, less sweet than a hot chocolate. Oat and almond milk are available.
Cappuccino at Crema House is a shot of Blasercafé Marrone espresso with steamed milk and a deep cap of foam, in the Italian proportion of roughly a third each, made in Ottawa. It is smaller and foamier than a Caffè Latte, with the coffee still forward. Oat and almond milk are available.
Canadiano at Crema House is our name for the Americano: a double shot of Blasercafé Marrone espresso lengthened with hot water, made to order in Ottawa. It is a clean, full-bodied black coffee you can hold longer than a shot. Unsweetened, with milk or oat milk on the side if you like.
Caffè Espresso at Crema House is a shot of Blasercafé Marrone, pulled short on our machine in Ottawa. The blend is Swiss-roasted, 70% arabica and 30% robusta, with a thick crema and low acidity. It comes as a Single, a Double or a Macchiato, served in a warmed cup.
This is the Single: one concentrated shot in a small warmed cup.
Double
The Double is Caffè Espresso pulled as two shots of Blasercafé Marrone in one cup, at Crema House in Ottawa. It is the same Swiss-roasted 70/30 blend with twice the coffee, for a longer sip or a stronger start. Strong and not sweet, with a thick crema on top.
Macchiato
The Macchiato is a shot of Caffè Espresso marked with a spoonful of steamed milk foam, made at Crema House in Ottawa. Macchiato means stained: the milk softens the edge of the coffee without turning it into a milk drink. It is small, strong and served in an espresso cup.
Drip Coffee at Crema House is filter coffee brewed fresh through the day at our counter in Ottawa. It is a steady, everyday cup with less intensity than espresso, served black or with milk, oat milk or almond milk. Choose medium roast for a mellow cup or dark roast for a fuller one.
Con Panna at Crema House is a shot of Blasercafé Marrone espresso topped with a swirl of whipped cream, served in a small cup in Ottawa. Also called Caffè Vienna, it is coffee and dessert in a few sips: hot and bitter under cold, sweet cream. Made to order at the bar.
Flat White at Crema House is a double shot of Blasercafé Marrone espresso under silky steamed milk with only a thin layer of microfoam, made to order in Ottawa. It is smaller and stronger than a Caffè Latte, so the coffee stays forward. Oat milk and almond milk are available.
