Flat White at Crema House is a double shot of espresso with steamed milk and a thin, velvety layer of microfoam, made to order in our Ottawa caffè. The espresso is Blasercafé Marrone, a Swiss-roasted blend of 70% arabica and 30% robusta, and the milk is steamed fine and glossy rather than airy. The drink began in Australia and New Zealand as a stronger, less foamy alternative to a cappuccino. It is served in a smaller cup than a Caffè Latte with the same double shot, so the coffee is more pronounced. There is no sugar in it unless you ask. Oat milk or almond milk can replace dairy. Have it with a butter croissant from the Bake House on Clyde Avenue.
