Overnight Oat at Crema House is a cold breakfast bowl of rolled oats soaked overnight with peanut butter, fresh apple and cinnamon. Soaking softens the oats without cooking, so they turn thick and creamy while keeping some texture. Peanut butter gives the bowl its richness and protein, apple adds sweetness and crunch, and cinnamon rounds it out. It is only lightly sweet, and it is eaten cold with a spoon. It contains peanuts, and one bowl is a single, filling serving packed for pickup. It goes well with an Americano, or with Chia Pudding if you want a second bowl to share. Overnight Oat is made in our kitchen at 14-1400 Clyde Avenue in Ottawa.
