Berry Blast at Crema House is a blended smoothie of mixed berries, yogurt and honey, made to order at our counter in Ottawa. Berries and yogurt are blended with ice until thick, and a spoon of honey rounds off the tartness of the fruit. It is cold, deep purple and sharp-sweet, with the texture of a thick drinkable yogurt. There is no coffee in it and no caffeine, so it suits children and mornings alike. It contains dairy from the yogurt and honey, so it is not vegan. It works as a light breakfast, or with a slice of Barbari from the Bake House for a fuller one on Clyde Avenue.
